Maldives Police Service Conducts a Session Entitled “Diversion of Juveniles – A Component of Restorative Justice” for OTJ staff

A training session on “Diversion of Juveniles – A Component of Restorative Justice” for the staff of the Ombudsperson’s Office for Transitional Justice (OTJ) was conducted today by the Maldives Police Service.

The session on highlighted on what restorative justice is and why it is important for transitional justice seekers to understand evidence-based content related to juvenile offenders. In addition, the importance of evidence-based interventions to disrupt their offending trajectories and increase their resilient functioning were discussed during the session.
