Ombudspersons Call on the High Commissioner of Sri Lanka to Maldives

The ombudspersons of the Ombudsperson’s Office for Transitional Justice (OTJ) held a meeting on Tuesday with the High Commissioner of Sri Lanka to Maldives, Mr. A.M.J. Sadiq.

Speaking at this meeting, Chief Ombudsperson Uz. Abdul Salaam Arif expressed his gratitude on behalf of OTJ for the assistance and support of the High Commission. Discussions were also held on further enhancing the work of OTJ, with emphasis on mediation of cases and potential recommendations for relevant government institutions. In addition to this, the ombudspersons and the High Commissioner also discussed about knowledge sharing activities between OTJ and Sri Lanka and about potential capacity building programs for OTJ’s staff.

Chief Ombudsperson, Uz. Abdul Salaam Arif and Ombudsperson, Uz. Musthafa Hameed were accompanied by Investigator, Uza. Hawwa Shahira, Training Executive, Azleena Qasim and Bureau Executive, Suha Abdul Hakeem for this meeting.
