During this meeting, discussions were held on the facilitating access to Ombudsperson’s Office for Transitional Justice’s case submission forms to persons under police custody. Maldives Police Service assured their full cooperation in this regard by providing our forms and leaflets to all persons and assisting them in form submission and arrangement of virtual hearings.

The Ombudsperson’s Office for Transitional Justice opened for submission of cases from 13th June 2021 and has since been holding meetings with relevant institutions to ensure convenient access of complaint and compensation forms for as many people as possible.
