The Program Officer of Justice Rapid Response, an international organization working against acts of serious human rights violations paid a courtesy call on the ombudspersons of transitional justice today.
During this meeting held at the Ombudsperson’s Office for Transitional Justice, ombudspersons briefed Ms. Mutoka about the mandate, role and work progress of the office. Discussions were also held about possible collaboration with Justice Rapid Response for assistance in the provision of victim support.
Ms. Mutoka was accompanied by a member of the Presidential Commission on Deaths and Disappearances, Uza. Fareesha Abdulla for this meeting while Chief Ombudsperson, Uz. Abdul Salaam Arif and Ombudsperson, Uza. Jihadha Anees joined the meeting from the Ombudsperson’s Office for Transitional Justice.
