Training on Investigative Skills Conducted for OTJ’s Staff

A training program on investigative skills was held for investigators of the Ombudsperson’s Office for Transitional Justice (OTJ). The session was moderated by Hajer Bouyahia, Human Rights Officer, Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR).

The main objectives of the training are to teach investigators what investigative skills are, how one can use their specific abilities to gather information and reach conclusions to uncover important facts, and how to use investigative skills to closely examine the case and find key factors. More sessions of the online session are scheduled to be held in the coming days.

This training session will provide OTJ investigators with many important skills and information to help stakeholders reach a fair and just outcome.
